Wellbeing Champions

Since returning from summer in September 2022, Manor Field and Thought-full have been working collaboratively on a new idea for the Year 6 children to help include them with promoting positive mental health and wellbeing across the school. Our twelve Wellbeing Champions work on a rota basis, taking it in turns across the school to actively support children during morning and lunch break. They are there to help with friendships, worries, concerns and can be a helping, supportive hand to any other difficulties children may be facing.

Quotes from our wellbeing champions about their training:

“I have been learning about the Five Ways To Wellbeing, physical and mental health. I think the most important thing I’ve learnt in my training is recognising when someone needs help.” - Elizabeth

“I have been learning about how to take care of others, the Five Ways To Wellbeing and mental health. The most important thing I have learnt about in training is check ins and this helps to understand how people are feeling. I am going to use my new skills to help those around me.” - Peyton

“I think the most important part of my training is to know how to help others even when they are going through tricky situations. The best part of my training was… Everything! I am hoping to use my new skills to help others.” - Yaqub
