Workshops, Trips & Residentials

Here at Manor Field Primary School, we pride ourselves when it comes to school trips. Below are some photo galleries of previous school trips that have taken place.

Isle of Wight Trip 2023:

The purpose of this visit was to develop the children’s confidence and self-esteem through taking on challenges and achieving success.  Over the 5 days, they took part in a variety of activities that ranged from archery to lighting fires to fencing to shelter building. They had to work together in teams to complete problem solving tasks and create a movable buggy from barrels.  They even had the opportunity to go on a 3G Swing, scale a climbing wall, take part in Aeroball tournaments, abseil, attempt Jacob's Ladder, search for different types of minibeasts, and make their way along obstacle courses whilst being blindfolded!  The evenings were also jam-packed as the children took part in mini Olympics, played games around a campfire, showed off their karaoke skills and took to the dancefloor for a disco!  All of the activities over this week helped to develop and strengthen the children’s team working skills.  In addition to this, some of the activities really challenged the children to face their fears and pushed them to achieve things that they had previously thought that they would never be able to do.

It was wonderful to see how supportive all of the children were towards each other, which really helped them to overcome any worries and to push themselves even further.  They all demonstrated huge amounts of determination and resilience, and they should all feel extremely proud of everything that they achieved.  Throughout the entire residential, every single child was a huge credit to the school in terms of their behaviour.  All of the Kingswood staff commented on how impressed they were by the children’s listening skills, politeness and ‘can-do’ attitude.  We’re sure that the children came home full of amazing stories about their experience, and with lots of memories that will last a lifetime!
