Sports Day 12th July 2018

What a wonderful day! Everyone at Manor Field enjoyed competing in many events throughout the day, with friends and families watching and cheering them on. The children, from Foundation to Year Six, enjoyed a range of events, from field events such as bean bag target, vortex throw and standing long jump - to track events including hurdles, skipping, sack and sprint.

The house teams performed superbly, with the children feeling immense pride at winning their stickers and contributing towards overall house points. It was fantastic to see so many parents supporting the event - the children certainly enjoyed seeing their parents run at the end of the Key Stage Two events!

Key Stage One winners were Poplar (green) house, and Key Stage Two winners were Oak (yellow) house. For the celebration event at the end of the afternoon, pupils were treated to a special visit from Gully, the Brighton and Hove Albion mascot, who watched the shuttle run, the final event involving staff and pupils from across the school. Gully then presented the overall house winners with their wonderful trophy. The house captains for the Oak House team, Ted C and Aria K , were delighted to raise their cup in front of their team. The MFA then rounded off the event by selling ice creams to everyone at the end of the day. Thank you to all those who contributed to making the day so successful and one to remember!
