Football Tournament

On Thursday 8th February, Manorfield took the A and B year 6 football teams to the regional Albion Cup competition. This is organised by Brighton and Hove Albion and is part of a national competition.

The A team won all six of their group games and got through to the semi finals, which is a brilliant achievement. Unfortunately, they lost on a penalty shoot out. Despite the penalty shoot out, they still managed to qualify for the main Sussex Finals Competition as they were one of the top four teams on the day! They will now play in the Sussex Finals at Brighton and Hove Albion’s training complex - the date will be confirmed as soon as we hear from the organisers.  It should be amazing experience for all involved.

Our Year Six girls team will also compete in the Albion cup on 8th March. We have also arranged to play friendly matches against local school for both the boys and girls teams before the end of term.
