September 2017 – What’s New?

Date: Friday 22nd September 2017

Pupils Roles and Responsibilities

On Friday 15th September 2017, we held a very special whole school assembly where some of our Year 6 pupils, who have been nominated by their peers and teachers, were presented with shiny new badges. Each pupil, be it a prefect, a head girl or a librarian, has a role in the school and is a great example of what a Manor Field pupil should be like.

We are really proud of them achieving this and for doing a wonderful job in their assigned roles already. They are such good role models for the younger pupils at the school and we believe that they will encourage everyone else to try doing their best, be respectful and always strive to achieve.

We have also announced our new house teams which are:

 Oak – yellow

Maple – red

Willow – blue

Poplar – green

Every pupil at the school was given their house badge and it was explained to them that they are able to collect merits for their house team – there is a real sense of team spirit and belonging at the school now! Every Friday, the house team with the most points is allowed to have 10 more minutes of lunch time play. Please ensure that you child wears a badge at all times. Should they lose their badge, they can buy them from my office during the first break – badges cost £0.25.

Well done to everyone and congratulations to the first two winning teams – Oak for last week and Poplar this week – the sun is shining just for them!

Best wishes,
