Year Two - Fire Services Visit

The Year 2 children had the pleasure of meeting four fire fighters from the West Sussex Fire Service. The children listened carefully during an assembly about how the fire services operate and rescue people. They also learnt what to do if a fire happens in their homes and to 'Stop, Drop and Roll' if their clothes catch fire. After the assembly, each class got the chance to go out on to the playground and get on board the fire engine! The fire fighters also explained all the equipment they have on board and how they use it to help put out fires.
