World Book Day 2018

On Monday 5th March, all of the children and adults at Manor Field celebrated World Book Day. This event had postponed from the previous week due to the snowy weather. However, despite this delay, everybody had a fantastic day celebrating the joy that books can create.

The children came dressed as their favourite book characters - and the adults even joined in with the fun too! The theme for World Book Day this year was 'Sharing Stories'. Therefore, the children had some time during the day to read their favourite books with a child from another class or year group.

It was lovely to see the children talking so passionately about their books and being encouraged to try different types of texts. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of those families who very kindly donated spare books from home to the school. The children are already extremely enthusiastic about exploring these new texts.
