Year 3 and 4 Chinese Restaurant Meal

On Wednesday 25th April, Year 3 and 4 headed to the Emperor Restaurant in Burgess Hill as part of the launch of their new theme Ancient China.

133 Manor Field Children arrived at the restaurant and impressed the staff who work there (as well as the Manor Field Staff and parents who attended) with their manners and willingness to ‘have-a-go’. Lots of children tried food they had never tasted before and were keen to share their thoughts about what they were eating with their peers.

It was a wonderful way of launching their new theme and we would like to particularly thank our parent helper, Ms Payne, for accompanying us.

Quotes from Paris class, about their Chinese restaurant experience:

 Giacomo:

“ I really liked the decorations.”

“I’ve learnt that I like Chinese food.”

Holly

Henry:

“I've learnt that the Chinese use cranes as decorations.”

“I’ve learnt that Chinese people don’t eat with knives.”
